About Us

Our Mission and Impact

The West Branch Regional Authority (WBRA) is a collaborative regional organization dedicated to providing sustainable wastewater and drinking water services to the Muncy and Montgomery communities . Established in 2010, the authority was created to address aging infrastructure and meet federal Chesapeake Bay environmental standards through a unified, multi-municipal approach.

WBRA focuses on protecting public health and regional water resources by investing in human capital and modern infrastructure . Since its inception, the authority has consolidated four sewer systems and implemented advanced preventative maintenance programs, including GIS mapping, SCADA systems, and extensive pipeline replacements .
