Water Operator

The West Branch Regional Authority is receiving applications for a Water Operator position for a municipal water system serving the communities of Muncy and Montgomery in Lycoming County, PA. The position includes full time, first shift work with full benefits. Compensation based on experience.

Water Operator: Primary duties include the operation and maintenance of treatment and pumping systems, trending and analysis of performance data, preparation of reports and budgets, and general water system maintenance.

Candidates must possess the following qualifications:
• Possess, or have the ability to obtain within 12 months, a minimum PA DEP certification for Classes B, E with sub-classes 11, 12 (1.1 MGD groundwater system).
• Valid PA driver’s license and transportation
• Capable of lifting tools and materials up to 85 pounds in weight
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products or equivalent, including Excel, Word, Outlook
• Able to work outside of standard hours and be available for on-call work

Preferred skills include:
• Proficiency with Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
• Experience with SCADA control systems and PLC programming
• Experience with Variable Speed/Frequency Drives

The work environment includes frequent bending, lifting, kneeling, crouching and working in confined spaces and around hazardous chemicals. Candidates must be able to wear a respirator.
